Some of the finest Romanesque wall paintings in the country have been painstakingly studied and carefully conserved. Work has been carried out on the exquisite paintings in St Gabriels Chapel at Canterbury Cathedral and the impressively complete schemes at Copford Church, Essex and St. Botolphs Church at Hardham in Sussex.
